Now, we're looking at re-thinking our approach to maintaining the site. More interesting though is that we do plan to start actively making improvements to the design and organization of content on the site. Improvements include things like optimizing the site for search engines and making more rich-content available to prospective customers.

Any update(s) on a PHP wrapper for the API? I found one that uses the "old" HTTP API, but noticed that it doesn't seem to handle tokens (unless I missed that in the code somewhere) and I also know that the new API contains features.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi,

So to answer a few of your questions ...

There currently is not a PHP API Wrapper like there is for Ruby, but I don't imagine it would be too difficult to write one. We're actually looking at moving the marketing portion of quickbase.com to a PHP/MySQL backend so while the topic of PHP is on everyone's mind, maybe I'll drop the wrapper in the suggestion box. :)

Changes on the way for the web site ...

Currently, updating the main site is a rather cumbersome task. Right now, we're looking at re-thinking our approach to maintaining the site.

More interesting though is that we do plan to start actively making improvements to the design and organization of content on the site. Improvements include things like optimizing the site for search engines and making more rich-content available to prospective customers.

I'm not going to be too involved on the product side (which is what the last two comments are referring to), but I'd be happy to take your suggestions and forward them along. I can relate to any concerns that revolve around a much needed UI improvement so I'd have no problem evangelizing your suggestions.

Looking forward to hearing from you folks again.

One of the biggest improvements that could be made to the QuickBase UI would be to display a report and the form associated with it on one screen. When you click on the View/Edit button in the report, the form would refresh with the data from that record.

quick UI suggestion. I have several applictions that I use and it would be great to have immediate access to my other apps without having to navigate back to the "my quickbase" page. What about a drop down menu for "other applications" that may appear below the Name of the current applicatoin that is generally shown on the far left of my tool bar that list tables for the application.
