New QuickBase Features Released

Early this morning we released new feature functionality for QuickBase users.

Users will now benefit from some enhancements we made for user management, search-ability and report building. If you are an Enterprise customers you will also benefit from a new Developer Sandbox functionality.

Now we can import and manage thousands of new users and provision them using their email address, first and last names. Whether we cut and paste or browse for a CSV file, if we are an account administrator we can now search thousands of users just by spelling their names. The results are fast and displayed in real time. If you need to sort, registered, unregistered, in-company or out-of-company users we make that easy and you can now select a few or as many users you like to deny, deactivate, delete or email.

Two usability features have been added to aid search and report building. We can now find data faster by including or omitted certain fields from search. When adjusting the filter conditions of our reports we can now insert or delete criteria on the fly regardless of their position within the list. The same applies to sorting and grouping.

The Developer Sandbox functionality assists Enterprise customers wishing to make major changes to their applications to do so in a safe and secure manner. Administrators can create a Sandboxed copy of their live applications and apply tests and updates without harming the original live application. When the updates are ready QuickBase provides an integrity check and changes are applied without fear of data loss.

You can learn more about these features and how they work by viewing our on-line help and browsing the release notes located in our Knowledgebase.

Please let us know what you think of the features – we look forward to your comments.

The new feature that allows you to add or delete filters and sorting/grouping specs more efficiently is great!

Suggestion: move the “+ / -” buttons to the left of the rows. Depending on the situation, the buttons are often off the screen and some users do not know they are even there. Having them on the left I think will make it more obvious to users who may be modifying reports infrequently.

This is also handy for reports. Should you want to list all your customers by time zone just filter your report by your new Time Zone field.
