Best Fourth of July Fireworks Vantage Points

As the United States gears up for another dazzling display of independence from sea to shining sea this Fourth of July, we thought it would be fun to share with you some of the best vantage points to watch the fireworks displays across the country.

Boston, MA

Due to Hurricane Arthur roaring up the east coast, Boston’s fireworks display was moved to Thursday night, July 3. Some lucky Bostonians surely caught some Boston Pops, then popped on over to the Top of the Hub, a restaurant located on the 52nd floor of the Prudential Tower, offering spectacular views of the Boston fireworks display (top, left).

New York City, NY

After five years over the Hudson, this year’s fireworks have returned to the East River in the vicinity of the Brooklyn Bridge. One of the best vantage points is believed to be the Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier I.

Washington D.C.

There’s something iconic watching the D.C. fireworks from the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. Pull up a chair next to Abe at the Lincoln Memorial or grab a room at the W Washington D.C. hotel. If you are lucky, you could grab a red leather couch at the P.O.V. Roof Terrace.

Philadelphia, PA

The rockets red glare will be illuminating the Philadelphia Museum of Art. You could grab a lawn chair down on Benjamin Franklin Parkway, but for a more spectacular view, try a room at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, the city’s first skyscraper.

Miami, FL

Who needs palm trees, when the fireworks are blooming below from the InterContinental Miami hotel. At the Mondrian South Beach hotel, you can sip margaritas while floating in the lavish pool taking in the sights and sounds of the fireworks over Miami Beach.

St. Louis, MO

Fair St. Louis is being held in Forest Park this year. The Hilton St. Louis by Busch Stadium has offered a great vantage point, but if you can get to the roof top of the Pierre Chouteau building, you may get a photo like this.

Chicago, IL

Want to watch the fireworks like Donald Trump? Grab a Firecracker cocktail at the Rebar in Trump International Hotel & Tower.

Houston, TX

This year fireworks gazers can enjoy the spectacle from a pontoon boat on the Buffalo Bayou. YEEHAW!

San Francisco, CA

The Golden Gate Bridge offers a nice little view for those in San Francisco. Or head down to Pier 39 where they are hosting Mobility, a jazz and blues band, along with 80′s cover band Tainted Love.

Have fun. Be safe. And see you again next week. Happy Fourth of July!
