Adding Flash Videos to QuickBase

If you have ever embedded a YouTube, Camtasia, Jing or Flash video into a QuickBase dashboard you know that the Internet Explorer browser will display an annoying pop-up that can drive you crazy.

1. In the HEAD section of your Web page, add the following <script> block:

<script lang="javascript" src="https://www.quickbase.com/db/dddddddd?a=API_GetRecordAsHTML&rid=n&jht=1">
</script>

where dddddddd is the database ID and n is the record ID for the record that you want to embed.

All you have to do is use the following URL:

https://www.quickbase.com/db/main?a=api_authenticate&username=yourEmailA...

Just plug your email address (or QuickBase screen name) and password into the appropriate places above. You can make this URL into a shortcut or a bookmark in your browser.

1. Create the report that you want to embed. If you're not familiar with how to create a table report, the following link explains the steps.

If you can no longer see detail records in a report that you've embedded on a master form, someone has changed the Filtering (matching criteria) for that report.

Let's assume that you have a District table, a Contacts table and an Orders table. The District table is the master table to the Contacts table and the Contacts table is the master table to the Orders table.
