During the import process, if you import your resources, or contacts, by name into a user field (such as Assigned To), QuickBase may not recognize the names as users (To learn more about User fields, please see our Manage Users in an Application help topic.).

If you want to export one record at a time, and that record is either a contact or scheduled event, you can create and use a vCard or iCalendar field to send a record to Outlook.

It is possible and quite easy to import data into QuickBase in such a way that it will update existing records. The key to being able to do this is that you must include the key field so that QuickBase knows exactly what records to update. By default the key field is the "Record ID" field.

You should go through these steps to export then reimport records:

Most QuickBase data will export seamlessly into Microsoft Excel. However, there are some cases when data is lost or displayed with the incorrect formatting.

One example is exporting a 5-digit zip code stored in a text field. When displayed in Excel, any leading zeroes in the zip code are lost. Similar problems can happen when exporting ID numbers, etc.

If your CSV file has a column in it that maps to the key field of the table then all you have to do is import the CSV file into QuickBase. Please read the following help topic:
