How do I change the name of a provisioned user that I misspelled?

Once a user is provisioned in QuickBase, only the person with access to the email address used is able to change the user profile information.

Why is there an asterisk next to names in the Users with Access list on the Manage Billing Account page?

An asterisk next to someone's name in the Users with Access list on the Manage Billing Account page means they have Full Management permissions on the Permissions tab of the Manage Billing Account page. To read more about the Manage Billing Account page, read here:

How do I embed my username and password into a shortcut icon, so I don't have to enter them every time I log on?

All you have to do is use the following URL:

https://www.quickbase.com/db/main?a=api_authenticate&username=yourEmailA...

Just plug your email address (or QuickBase screen name) and password into the appropriate places above. You can make this URL into a shortcut or a bookmark in your browser.

How can I avoid placeholders?

During the import process, if you import your resources, or contacts, by name into a user field (such as Assigned To), QuickBase may not recognize the names as users. Read more about user fields here:
