Colorful Icons Make QuickBase Faster

We have loaded 2500 really awesome graphics to our servers so you can colorize and enliven your QuickBase applications. Now you can display status, priority and virtually any condition with rich colorful eye-catching icons. There are 502 icons loaded in five standard pixel sizes 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48 and 128x128.

You can use the following logic to create a "reverse look up" field. This will allow you to display a text value that lives in the most recent detail record on the master record.

Many customers want to log or track changes made to a field. There is a simple way to do this using Dynamic Form Rules. In this example we'll build a Text field to track who made changes to a status field, when they made the change, and the value they entered into the field.

Create two summary fields in the Projects table (To learn how, please see our Create a Summary Field help topic). The first summary field will be labled "Number of Tasks". It should be configured to count the number of Tasks. The second summary field should be labeled "Number of Completed Tasks".

The best way to do this is to flip the problem around on its head.

1) Instead of making the date field a formula field, make it a plain date field.

2) Then remove the choice of "Complete" from your multiple choice "Status" field.

3) Create a formula text field called "Computed Status".

4) Put the following formula into the formula property of the "Computed Status" field.
