Our Knowledge Base covers a wide variety of technical topics, from the basic to the complex.

Can I change the text size when printing from a report? The text is currently too small to read.

There are a few ways to increase the size of the text when you print a report:

Reduce the number of columns that appear in the report.
A printout includes all of the columns in a report on one page. When there are too many columns in a report to fit on one page, the printout reduces the font size to fit all the columns on the same page.
To prevent the font size from becoming too small to read, you can remove unnecessary columns: right-click the unnecessary columns, then select Hide this Column.

Adjust the scale of your printout.
The steps to adjust the scale of your printout depend on which browser you use. Complete one of the following tasks for your browser:

Mozilla Firefox -
Click the Print button in QuickBase.
The preview window appears.
Click File in the top left hand corner, then click Print Preview.
Select either Portrait or Landscape, then adjust the scale of the printout.
Increase the scale of the printout beyond 100% to increase the text size.
When the text size is the size that you want, close this preview window, then click the Print button.

Internet Explorer -
Click the Print button in QuickBase.
The preview window appears.
Right click anywhere in this window, then select Print Preview.
Select either Portrait or Landscape, then adjust the scale of the printout.
Increase the scale of the printout beyond 100% to increase the text size.
When the text size is the size that you want, click the Print document button in the preview window.

Hi Alice,

Your printouts are actually controlled by your web browser and your printer, rather than QuickBase. Because of this, you can use the steps above to change the font size in your browser settings. Which web browser are you using?
