QuickBase Release Notes: June 5, 2011
In our June release, you’ll find a new "feedback" tab on your My QuickBase page that allows you to share feedback with QuickBase. This forum allows anyone to create, discuss, and vote for enhancement ideas.
Share feedback and vote for suggestions
Do you have an idea for improving QuickBase? In the June release, you can share your suggestions by either:
Clicking the new feedback tab on the My QuickBase page.
Visiting the Customer Feedback for Intuit QuickBase page: http://www.quickbase.uservoice.com
You are prompted to sign in to QuickBase before using the Customer Feedback page, and are redirected to the Customer Feedback page after sign in.

You also can browse and comment on suggestions shared by other users. Tell the QuickBase Product Management team which suggestions matter the most to you by voting for them. Every QuickBase user has ten votes, and can submit up to three votes per suggestion. Submitting a new suggestion uses one vote.
If you have used all of your votes but want to submit a new suggestion or vote for another user's suggestion, remove your votes from a suggestion and apply them where you'd like.
QuickBase Product Management reviews all feedback, and can join the conversation by commenting on suggestions. You receive an email notification when a Product Manager changes the status of your suggestion (for example, to "planned”). If a Product Manager closes a suggestion for which you voted, either because we acted on it or decided not to make a change, your votes are returned to you.
Realm Administrators may choose to disable the feedback button for all users in the Realm. Contact QuickBase Support if you are a Realm Administrator and want to disable this feature.
What’s fixed in QuickBase?
We’re continuing to focus on quality and have fixed a number of bugs in this release. (As always, all QuickBase releases include bug fixes from previous releases.)

Realm Admin's control over Feedback Options
I think the Realm administrators should be able to control who can and who cannot see the Feedback option. It can't be a all or none option. 1. Realm administrators may have to use this feature themselves. 2. There may be other tech savvy users who may have suggestions for improving the product as well. Isn't that why Quickbase wants the users' feedback, in the first place?
Hi Surya -- Generally, we
Hi Surya --
Generally, we expect that realm administrators will leave the Feedback option turned on, unless there is some pressing reason (security? network configuration? corporate policy?) for it to be turned off. We're looking for a good cross-section of comments, and we'd like as many users as possible to contribute. Volume of comments just isn't a problem.
As it stands, all users will see this by default. If you wish to turn this off globally, you may contact support to process this request. There is not currently an option to filter a list of which users can and cannot see this button.
We can certainly take this as feedback for future enhancement as this feature progresses.

I am happy to see both i)
I am happy to see both i) more frequent updates/enhancements/fixes, and ii) a way for users to provide enhancement ideas that others can see and vote on. I have been pushing for this for years and it seems QB is heading in the right direction. I think this is very important to keep the product/service fresh and focused....and a leader.
Thank you,
Tony
Thanks!
Tony,
Thanks for the kind words! We listen to our customers, and it’s gratifying to hear that we’re making changes that work.
Cheers,
