In a recent webinar a customer asked how they might use an email notification to embed an "approve" and "reject" button such that when their client opened their email, they could make the selection right there in the email and the result would be to update the record and log the client's choice to include an audit trail of the person, the decision date and time.

Add a new table to your application and call it "Sent Email". If you follow the directions below then your users can send an email from within your QuickBase application just by adding a record to this new table.

Set the noun for the records in this new table to "Send Email".

Add the following fields to the new table:

To (Text)
Subject (Text)
Body (Multi-line Text)

If a particular person receives a QuickBase notification that doesn't include the information you expect it to, you should check to confirm that the user has access to your application. If you've specified that the notification should be a "Recipient" type of notification, then only users with whom you've shared the application can see application data.

QuickBase allows you to configure email subscriptions and reminders for each table in your application.

QuickBase keeps an up-to-date Sender Policy Framework (SPF) record for all email servers used to send email for the quickbase.com domain. If you use SPF, you can adhere to your organization’s spam filtering policy without having to whitelist the IP addresses of approved senders.

A specific report subscription is always emailed at the same time of day (or time of week). However, this time is chosen at random when the report subscription is created.

Currently, the time is randomly chosen in the range from 08:00 to 15:00 UTC time. Depending on daylight savings, this translates into:
Eastern Time: 3AM to 11AM
Pacific Time: 12AM to 8AM
